Plagiarism Check Policy

Elizade University Journals (EUJ) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and scholarly rigor. To ensure the originality and credibility of all submissions, each manuscript undergoes a plagiarism check using Turnitin, alongside editorial scrutiny, prior to peer review.

Policy Guidelines

  1. Originality Requirement

All manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other journal or publication.

  1. Plagiarism Screening

All submissions are screened using Turnitin, which compares manuscripts against published literature, online sources, and academic databases to detect textual similarity and ensure authenticity.

  1. Similarity Threshold

Plagiarism must not exceed 20%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be rejected outright or returned for substantial revision.

  1. Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for providing accurate citations and references for all sources, including text, data, tables, and figures. All citations and references must follow APA 7th Edition or MLA scholarly standards.

  1. Consequences of Plagiarism

Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism or evidence of unethical research practices will be handled according to international academic ethics guidelines. Actions may include rejection, notification of the author’s institution, and restriction from future submissions.

By implementing a rigorous plagiarism check with a clearly defined threshold through Turnitin, EUJ ensures that all publications maintain academic integrity, originality, and ethical compliance, safeguarding both the scholarly record and authors’ intellectual contributions.
