Author Guidelines
1. Overview
Elizade University Journals (EUJ) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly publishing platform dedicated to advancing knowledge through the dissemination of high-quality, original research. The journals provide an interdisciplinary forum for academics, researchers, and practitioners to contribute to global scholarship.
2. Aims and Scope
Submitted manuscripts must demonstrate scholarly rigor, methodological soundness, and relevance to the scope of the specific journal.
3. Categories of Manuscripts
The journals consider the following types of submissions:
- Original Research Articles
- Review Articles (systematic or narrative)
- Case Studies/Case Reports
- Short Communications
- Technical Notes
- Book Reviews (subject to editorial approval)
4. Manuscript Preparation
4.1 Language and Style
Manuscripts must be written in formal academic English, exhibiting clarity, coherence, and precision. Authors are required to maintain consistency in either British or American spelling conventions throughout the manuscript.
4.2 Formatting Requirements
- Font: Times New Roman, 12-point
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 2.54 cm (1 inch) on all sides
- Alignment: Justified
- Page numbering: Consecutive
4.3 Structure of the Manuscript
Manuscripts should be organized in the following sequence:
a. Title Page
- Concise and informative title
- Full names of all authors
- Institutional affiliations (including department and country)
- Corresponding author’s email address
b. Abstract
The abstract (maximum 250 words) should provide a structured summary of the study, including:
- Background
- Objective(s)
- Methodology
- Key findings
- Conclusion
c. Keywords
Provide 4-6 keywords that accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.
d. Main Body
The main text should typically include:
- Introduction
- Literature Review (where applicable)
- Methodology
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- Recommendations (where appropriate)
e. Acknowledgements (optional)
f. References
5. Citation and Referencing Style
EUJ adopts the APA 7th Edition or MLA 9th Edition referencing style unless otherwise specified. Authors must ensure:
- Accuracy and completeness of all references
- Consistency between in-text citations and reference list entries
6. Tables and Figures
- Tables and figures must be clearly labeled, numbered sequentially, and appropriately titled
- Each must be cited in the text
- Sources must be acknowledged where applicable
- High-resolution images are required for figures
7. Ethical Standards and Integrity
Authors are required to adhere strictly to ethical standards in scholarly publishing. This includes:
- Submission of original, unpublished work
- Proper acknowledgment of all sources
- Avoidance of plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification
- Disclosure of any conflicts of interest
For studies involving human or animal subjects, evidence of ethical approval from a recognized institutional review board must be provided.
8. Plagiarism Policy
All submissions are subjected to plagiarism detection. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 15–20% may be rejected. EUJ maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward academic misconduct.
9. Submission Procedure
Authors should submit manuscripts through the designated submission portal Submissions must include:
- A cover letter stating the originality and significance of the work
- The manuscript file (in Word format)
- Author details and affiliations
- ORCID - Correct format: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1825-0097 (compulsory for all authors)
- Authors must provide their full ORCID iD in this format on the title page.
10. Peer Review Process
EUJ operates a double-blind peer review system, ensuring anonymity of both authors and reviewers. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent experts. Editorial decisions are categorized as:
- Accept
- Minor Revision
- Major Revision
- Reject
Authors are expected to address reviewers’ comments thoroughly and resubmit within the stipulated timeframe.
11. Publication Fees
Details regarding Article Processing Charges (APC), where applicable, are provided on the journal’s official platform. Fee waivers or reductions may be considered under specific circumstances.
12. Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright of their work while granting EUJ the right of first publication. Articles are published under an open-access license, typically aligned with Creative Commons licensing frameworks.
13. Author Responsibilities
Authors bear full responsibility for:
- The accuracy and integrity of data presented
- Proper attribution of sources
- Disclosure of funding sources and conflicts of interest
- Compliance with ethical and publication standards
